Honda Motorcycles
Honda's first appearance in North America was in Vancouver in 1959, there were six original dealers that took on the new brand hopeful for something different than the norm, Rex and Glenn Turple were one of those original six, and the last standing of them too, making Turple Bros. Ltd. the oldest Honda dealer in North America. 10 years after the first Honda motorcycle came to north america, Honda Canada was formed. Throughout the years we have seen a lot of Honda Motorcycles come through our doors from the iconic CB750 (in our main logo) to the race winning CBR lineup, the new and old Africa Twin, the king of touring bikes, the Goldwing, and so many more. We always look forward to see what Honda Motorcycles brings us next. |

Adventure With Available Assist Slipper ClutchHonda Adventure models have an available Assist Slipper Clutch to put the ease into your adventure. The aluminum clutch centre and pressure plate use assist cams to ease upshifts, and slipper cams to help prevent wheel lock-up during deceleration and downshifting. |
Inertial Measurement UnitAt the heart of the Africa Twin’s elevated on- and off-road performance is a Bosch MM7.10 six-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) that measures six-axis of data and sends that information to other critical systems like HSTC, ABS, and wheelie control. These systems make adjustments in real-time to give you total control. |
Broad PowerbandThe CRF1100 Africa Twin's 1,084 cc parallel-twin engine pulls hard from 2,500 rpm all the way to the redline. A 270-degree phased crankshaft and uneven firing interval give a distinctive sound and feel while helping to produce strong, linear power and instant response anywhere in the rev range. |
Riding ModesThe Africa Twin has four default riding modes: Tour, Urban, Gravel, and Off-Road, plus two customizable User modes to cover any riding condition or situation. Each of these modes presets power delivery, engine braking, ABS settings, and HSTC torque control. |
Assist Slipper ClutchThe aluminum clutch centre and pressure plate use assist cams to ease upshifts and slipper cams to prevent wheel lock-up during deceleration and downshifting. |
Honda Selectable Torque ControlThe Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) system comes with seven levels of control and an ‘off’ setting. The IMU can determine when the rear-wheel starts to slip and will seamlessly modulate torque control to keep you in that sweet spot during acceleration. |
Wheelie ControlThe wheelie control system takes cues from the IMU to know when and how fast the front wheel is lifting and reacts accordingly. There are three levels of wheelie control, plus the ability to turn it off. |
Capable and ComfortableThe strength and rigidity balance of the steel semi-double-cradle frame helps to boost off-road ability while also reinforcing all-round on-road manners. The Africa Twin is engineered to handle the most rugged off-road adventures while providing the comfort of a touring motorcycle and the everyday competence of a great all-rounder or day-to-day commuter. |
Adjustable seatTo ensure a perfect fit for riders of different sizes, the Africa Twin boasts a two-position seat (870 mm standard and 850 mm in the low position) with an easy reach to the handlebar and a comfortable upright riding position. Standing or sitting, the Africa Twin keeps you in control. |
Aluminum ComponentsA bolt-on aluminum subframe and aluminum swingarm help to reduce weight for improved handling and manoeuvrability. |
Suspension DynamicsWith a stroke length of 230 mm, the 45 mm Showa cartridge-type inverted front fork offers long-travel bump absorption and features internal settings configured for both on- and off-road performance. The Pro-link® rear suspension positions the shock lower at the front of the aluminum swingarm, lowering the centre of gravity even further and allowing designers to keep the seat/tank area above the shock as slim as possible. |
ABS BrakesThe Africa Twin’s ABS system works in conjunction with the IMU by compiling speed, deceleration, and lean angle data to prevent rear-wheel lock-up or rear wheel lift. This makes sure you can stop quickly and keep both wheels planted on the ground. There are on- and off-road settings, and rear ABS can be turned off in certain settings. |
Take it With YouThe Africa Twin comes equipped with a sturdy aluminum rear rack with built-in passenger grab rails, providing a secure location to strap on a weekend- or a weeks-worth of gear. |
Hand ProtectionHand guards come standard on the Africa Twin. For colder weather rides, hand guard extensions and heated grips are available as Honda Genuine Accessories. |
Multi-Information DisplayThe Multi Information Display (MID) 6.5-inch TFT touch screen keeps you in control of the Africa Twin’s systems, including riding modes, HSTC, wheelie control, and ABS settings. The touchscreen is easy to use even when wearing gloves. |
LED headlightsThe dual LED headlights are set high, delivering a penetrating beam and improving safety no matter the conditions. |
Apple CarPlayTM and Android AutoTMBoth Apple CarPlayTM and Android Auto are now available with the use of a Bluetooth headset. Music, phone calls and navigation can be accessed through the touchscreen display or via handlebar controls. The phone plugs into a USB charging port on the right of the MID, or hands-free wireless Bluetooth connectivity is also an option. |
Smart Turn SignalsThe front and rear turn signals are self-cancelling, but rather than using a simple timer, the system compares front and rear wheel speed difference and calculates when you've completed your turn or lane change. |
Cruise ControlCruise control is a standard feature on the Africa Twin, making those long straights between trails all the more comfortable. |
